Exams can be a stressful time in a student’s life. The pressure to perform well, the late-night cramming, and the constant worry about the results definitely can take a toll on your mental and physical well-being. But fret not! To help you break free from the clutches of exam stress, we’ve put together a list of five fun activities that are easily accessible via public transport.

1. PLAY VIDEO GAMES BUT IN REAL LIFE

You can have this experience at The Bomb Battle, Berjaya Times Square.It is open daily from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. There are 2 ways to reach there, whether you can stop at Hang Tuah LRT Station and walk around 10 minutes or you can simply take Monorail and stop at Imbi Station, which is directly connected to Berjaya Times Square mall.

2. VISIT MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY

Museums and art galleries are not only educational but also therapeutic escape. In Malaysia, there is a museum and art gallery that will make you feel like a MILLIONAIRE without needing to spend any single penny! You can visit the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery that was located at Sasana Kijang, 2, Jalan Dato Onn, Kuala Lumpur. Do not worry about the entrance fee because it is totally free. There are a total of 3 floors that you can explore and the exciting thing is you can go through a 1 Million worth of cash tunnel!  You can give a try to their interactive activities and don’t forget to take OOTD here! BNM Museum is reachable by KTM from KL Sentral, with a convenient stop at Bank Negara Station. 

3. BATIK PAINTING

Dive into the world of artistic expression at Malaysia’s largest batik handicraft hub, JADI BATEK, nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur on Jalan Inai, Imbi. There are various activities that you can do such as batik colouring, batik drawing & colouring, totebag, scarf batik drawing and even pareo batik drawing. The starting price for the workshop is RM 35 and above. Don’t have talent? Don’t worry as you will be guided by the Batik Artist. The nearest public transport is MRT TRX and walks around 350 metres only. 

4. HIKING

Doing some physical activity also can reduce your stress level. Therefore, you can find fresh air and burn some calories by hiking! If you are living in the city, you can head up to Taman Tugu and experience a full loop of the main trails which is a total of 5 km. The best part is the trails are suitable for people of all fitness levels and age groups. You can choose any day to come here as it is open daily from 7 am until 6:30 pm and free entrance. The nearest MRT &  LRT station to Taman Tugu is Muzium Negara which is just  2 min walk away.

5. KARAOKE

Karaoke is more than just singing for fun but it is also a stress reliever. Singing releases endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals, which can significantly reduce stress and anxiety. But have you ever heard about karaoke in a quiet place? Yes, the place is named A Quiet Place located in Bukit Bintang. Experiencing luxury karaoke with besties as soon as your exam paper is over is definitely a great decision that you can make. Not only karaoke but there is also a mini studio and GeTai. It is open from 12 p.m. until 3 a.m. You can take a monorail from Hang Tuah LRT Station and stop at Bukit Bintang Station.

 

6. RUG TUFTING

For those who want to release stress while expressing their inner designer side, rug tufting is definitely a good idea for you. It is a new trend in Malaysia therefore you should join a tufting workshop at Good Times DIY Tufting, located in MyTOWN Shopping Center. Afraid that you’re not creative? Don’t panic, just pick from a range of cute designs or customise your very own! The price is according to the size of frame you choose, starting from RM 140 until RM 230. It is open daily 10am, 2pm and 5pm. In order to go there, you can stop at Chan Sow Lin LRT Station, then walk for 11 minutes. After that, you can enjoy and unleash your creativity.
